RecipeVault stores recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists in this browser's IndexedDB. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Clearing your browser data (or switching browsers/devices) means you'll need to restore from a backup.

Install as an app

RecipeVault is a Progressive Web App. Install it on your phone or computer for a full-screen, offline experience — no App Store or Google Play account required.

Open this site in Chrome, Edge, or Safari.
Look for the install icon in the address bar, or the browser menu item Install RecipeVault / Add to Home Screen.
Confirm. The app opens in its own window, with your recipes stored on this device.

Backup & restore

Export a JSON snapshot of everything, or restore from a previous export — handy before clearing your browser or when moving to a new device.
